2007 USPA National Intercollegiate Championships
This April, the Kentucky Horse Park hosted the 2007 USPA National Intercollegiate Championships featuring regional winners from around the country. This marked the first year for the Horse Park’s involvement with the Association’s most coveted intercollegiate polo event.

The event was held April 2nd -7th at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. USPA was also honored to present the tournament sportsmanship award to Lila Gaines with University of Virginia and Casey Smergut with Oregon State University.
The Best Playing Pony Award for the men’s went to Cruella owned by Texas A&M University and the women’s went to Mancha owned by University of Virginia.
USPA thanks its committee volunteers and staff along with event sponsors, the Polo Training Foundation, Equisure, Eques, Ltd., La Martina, USPA Properties, War Horse Place, Mt. Brilliant Farm and the International Polo Club Palm Beach. The 2007 USPA National Intercollegiate Championships are scheduled to air on ESPN 2, Saturday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m. EST.
