U.S. Polo Assn. announces new license agreement for central Europe
FLORENCE, ITALY– October 15, 2007 U.S. Polo Assn. Brand announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with INCOM SPA to design, manufacture and distribute U.S. Polo Assn. branded sportswear for men, women and children throughout central Europe.
“International expansion is a key strategy for U.S. Polo Assn., and INCOM currently manages a number of prestigious brands. INCOM is well recognized for its outstanding design capabilities and has the experience and infrastructure to successfully introduce and grow the U.S. Polo Assn. Brand in the European market,” said David Cummings, CEO of U.S. Polo Assn. Brand.
INCOM will launch its first collections of authentic U.S. Polo Assn. sportswear at the Pitti Uomo in Florence, January 2008. “INCOM is extremely excited to be working with the U.S. Polo Association, the official governing body for the sport of polo in the United States since 1890,” said Lorenzo Nencini, Managing Director of INCOM, and himself an avid polo player. “We look forward to offering a line of classic American styling that captures the true ‘spirit of the sport’ of polo for the European market.”
